PCOS Treatment For PCOS Women By PCOS Women

Meet our founder

Dr. Lynsey Johnson, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Accepting Patients in GA & NY

PCOS Sisters was created by Nurse Practitioner Dr. Lynsey Johnson, DNP, FNP-C after years of suffering with PCOS herself and discovering how difficult it was to find medical professionals who understood how to treat it. She developed the PCOS Sisters Treatment Program and has kept the weight off herself for the past 8 years going from 180 lbs to 140 lbs using the PCOS Sisters Treatment program. She has been treating PCOS patients since 2017 and received training from Augusta University, Emory University, and University of Florida. She is also a certified Family Nurse Practitioner meaning she can treat all ages, co-existing conditions, and primary care. She believes PCOS affects the entire body and provides a comprehensive treatment program and holistic approach to PCOS treatment. She is a member of the obesity medicine society, Endocrine society, and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She currently resides in Decatur, GA with her son, yet is able to reach patients in GA & NY through our expanding PCOS Sisters Telehealth Clinic. Telehealth has allowed her to reach so many patients that would otherwise not have access due to location or lack of insurance.

Kaitlyn Leone, FNP-C, CRNP

Accepting Patients in TX, FL & NY

Kaitlyn Leone, CRNP, is a dedicated healthcare professional with a Master of Science in Nursing from Clarion University, boasting a rich 11-year career as a nurse and seven years as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). With a diverse background in inpatient neurology and outpatient family medicine, Kaitlyn developed a profound interest in treating Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) motivated by both professional exposure and personal experience. Having struggled with vague symptoms for years, Kaitlyn’s journey to diagnose and manage her own PCOS led her through challenges such as weight gain, acne, and irregular menses. Through a combination of yoga, dietary changes, and the right medications, she successfully regulated her hormones, culminating in the healthy birth of her daughter after years of infertility. Since transitioning to family medicine, Kaitlyn discovered a passion for helping women with poorly managed or undiagnosed PCOS. Her rewarding experiences in improving patient outcomes drive her advocacy for women’s health, and she seeks opportunities to share her knowledge. Specializing in general family medicine with interests in migraine care, mental health, acne, and obesity/weight loss, Kaitlyn brings a unique blend of personal experience, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to her practice. She aspires to further grow her knowledge and continue empowering women in their journey to find effective and personalized care for PCOS.

Stephanie Harber, FNP-C, APRN

ACCEPTING PATIENTS IN TX & FL

Stephanie Harber is a nurse practitioner serving patients in Texas & FL. She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas at Tyler and has been in practice for over 10 years. Having a background in both adults and pediatrics, she has developed a strong interest in diagnosing teens with PCOS, which is often overlooked as “typical” hormonal teenager symptoms. She is passionate about providing holistic, compassionate care where every patient she serves feels respected and empowered. Stephanie began to focus on caring for women with PCOS when patient after patient came to her feeling frustrated, dismissed, and let down by the traditional healthcare system. Along with her own struggles with infertility and hormone imbalances, the experiences of her patients with PCOS led Stephanie to become an advocate for individualized patient care that not only focuses on improving troublesome symptoms but also quality of life for her patients. She is excited to utilize telehealth as a means to reach patients who otherwise would not have access to care for their PCOS. She looks forward to coming alongside women with PCOS as they embark on the journey to better health and wellbeing.
