How It Works

About Mental Health

The average person’s understanding of mental health has gotten better over recent years with more people placing importance on this vital aspect of health. However, there are still many who neglect to get the care they need. At PCOS Sisters Telehealth Clinic & Wellness Center, our PCOS specialist nurse practitioner team makes sure to have check-ins with her patients to make sure they’re feeling their best, physically and mentally.

Hormone imbalances and elevated testosterone can cause severe moodwings, especially around your period. After assessing your hormones, your Nurse Practitioner will determine if balancing your hormones will correct your depression and anxiety or if you need further treatment with antidepressants. We treat the root cause for depression, anxiety, and moodswings at PCOS Sisters.

It’s natural for anxiety and depression to fluctuate, but being overwhelmed by these conditions can have a drastic and negative effect on your life.

Mental Health FAQ

At PCOS Sisters, we treat mental health conditions with medication therapy that is prescribed based on the patient's needs. Your nurse practitioner can also refer patients to an outside specialist if they would like further care for their condition.

The best way to understand how a person feels is to listen to what they say. If a patient reports feelings of low self-worth, anxiety, depression, and more, Dr. Johnson will take the necessary clinical steps to help you feel better in your day-to-day life.

PCOS Sisters Telehealth Clinic & Wellness Center offers both pay per visit and membership subscriptions. We are a cash pay only practice, meaning we do not accept insurance. Cash pay includes credit cards and debit cards. We cannot accept Medicaid or Medicare patients, even if you agree to pay cash as we do not bill insurance. If you have insurance that covers your labs, imaging, and medications, you may use it, but you might find that our discounted prices are cheaper if you self-pay.
