If you started noticing your body, skin, and menstrual cycle change after reaching your late teens or 20s, you’re not alone. Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most prevalent conditions among women, affecting 10-20% of reproductive-aged women. Although PCOS is named for ovarian cysts, you do not need to have cysts to be diagnosed with PCOS. Some of the most common symptoms include weight gain, acne, hirsutism (unwanted hair growth on the face or body), and hair thinning or loss.
Since PCOS effects your entire body we believe in providing a comprehensive medical program including PCOS focused primary care.
