It's not uncommon to experience bouts of anxiety and depression, but if these feelings are nearly always present, getting help should be a priority. Dr. Johnson at PCOS Sisters provides treatment for mental health conditions. The symptoms and causes of PCOS can take their toll on a person's mental health so it's important to treat your polycystic ovarian syndrome comprehensively.

How do you treat anxiety and depression?
At PCOS Sisters, we treat mental health conditions with medication therapy that is prescribed based on the patient's needs. We can also refer patients to an outside specialist if they would like further care for their condition.

How do you diagnose anxiety and depression?
The best way to understand how a person feels is to listen to what they say. If a patient reports feelings of low self-worth, anxiety, depression, and more, Dr. Johnson will take the necessary clinical steps to help you feel better in your day-to-day life.

Do you accept insurance?
PCOS Sisters Telehealth Clinic & Wellness Center offers both pay per visit and membership subscriptions. We are a cash pay only practice, meaning we do not accept insurance. Cash pay includes credit cards and debit cards. We cannot accept Medicaid or Medicare patients, even if you agree to pay cash as we do not bill insurance. If you have insurance that covers your labs, imaging, and medications, you may use it, but you might find that our discounted prices are cheaper if you self-pay.

If your mental health has been preventing you from feeling your best and hindering you from truly living, then it's time to get the help you need. Family nurse practitioner Dr. Lynsey Johnson at PCOS Sisters understands how deeply anxiety and depression can affect people of all ages. Getting treatment can help reduce your negative feelings and regulate your moods. If you live anywhere in Florida, New York, and Georgia, reach out to our telehealth practice.
